Benjamin Diokno is Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management in the Philippines. He is also Philippine National Bank Professor of Economics at the University of the Philippines. He served the government in various capacities as the Chairman and CEO of the Philippine National Oil Company, Budget and Management Undersecretary, and Fiscal Adviser in the Office of the Senate President. As senior budget undersecretary, he was responsible for preparing and implementing 5 out of the 6 national budgets under the Aquino administration. He has served as a consultant to the World Bank, Asia Development Bank, and the International Development Research Centre. |
